Then you visit the famous Tunxi Ancient Street, with many 800 year old buildings still intact. You stroll through the charming street and have dinner on your own, before going back to hotel and rest. |

Activities | If you opt for luggage handling service on the mountain you can bring your large luggage today; otherwise your guide will organize to leave it at the hotel until tomorrow. Going up by cable car you will soon see the famous scenery of the Yellow Mountain, the dramatic cliffs and the Yingkesong tree. From the cable car you hike to the North Sea, where you have the lunch before going out to explore the incredible scenery, including many of the most famous peaks and viewpoints. Then walk west to reach your hotel for the night and after check in have a dinner. |

Activities | After a buffet breakfast you have some time to enjoy the scenery before it is time to go down the mountain and have lunch before heading for Hongcun Village in the South Anhui countryside. Hongcun is famed all over China for its charm, which you will experience for yourself as you take a walk through the village. Dinner on your own, then go by the hotel for the left luggage (if any) and drive to the airport for your flight JD5106 (20:10-22:00) to Xian. In Xian you meet with your English-speaking guide, then transfer to hotel and check-in. |

Activities | Your Xian City Tour today goes to the History Museum, then view Big Wild Goose Pagoda from outside at the Big Goose Pagoda Square. After lunch you visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Chinese New Year Fair, and then dive into the sprawling Muslim Quarter where you will also see a short Shadow Puppet performance, before returning to your hotel. |

About travel to Huangshan 1. Guests may purchase children’s tickets at the ticket office according to the child’s age and height under the local child ticket policies. 2. GCT’s local guide can help you book luggage porter service on the mountain on Day 1. Usually one piece of luggage is 50-100 RMB (according to different size and weight of the luggage) for cable car to hotel one way (same for hotel to cable car). 3. Hotels and restaurants in Tunxi/Huangshan may not be up to Shanghai or Beijing standard. Before travelling to Huangshan 1. Please check the weather forecast before departure and prepare accordingly, i.e. sunglasses, sunscreen and/or windbreaker. Please note that umbrellas may be dangerous because of wind gusts. Please see http://www.weatherforecastmap.com/china/huangshan 2. Prices on top of the mountain are higher than at the base. You may bring snacks or drinks if you want to avoid paying mountain prices. Please make sure to keep hydrated while hiking. 3. As you will be hiking please check your health before travelling and bring any necessary medicine you might need. While travelling to Huangshan 1. Take care on the hiking paths and avoid crossing the safety barriers. Please follow instructions from your guide and do not put yourself in danger of falling of the cliffs. 2. If raining or snowing the paths become slippery so please walk with care. If in a thunder or lightning storm please seek shelter nearby and keep away from high peaks, trees, path chains etc. 3. If you feel sick or uncomfortable please notify your guide immediately. Some simple medical services are available on the mountain. 4. Smoking and use of fire is strictly prohibited outside the designated areas. 5. Please protect the environment. Do not take away any creatures, rocks or dirt from the mountains.
About travel to Xian 1. Please check the weather forecast before departure and prepare accordingly. Please see http://www.weatherforecastmap.com/china/xi'an 2. Xi’an traffic is OK. Please be prepared for some time spent on the tour bus while driving between sights. 3. At places where tourists go, scammers may try to trick you into buying fake goods. Please use caution when approached. 4. Take care of your belongings in crowded places.

Design and layout of hotel - we prefer hotels with history and atmosphere, especially if these have relevance with the sight(s) at the destination. 5. Value for money - any hotel must pass requirements 1-3 and 5. If a hotel passes all five requirements, or if it is deemed significant for the tour planning, it becomes a Priority Hotel.
Also important: 1. Please perform a thorough health check before traveling. If your health is not good enough please refrain from traveling. Most major tourist destinations in China have good health care services, but on tours to remote or high altitude destinations you should make sure your health allows you to travel to these destinations.
